Wines, Histories & Religions of Central Greece
Day 0: Athens – Welcome to the Land of Gods (and Good Food)
Touchdown in Athens!
Whether you’re brimming with excitement or just in desperate need of a nap, we’ve got you covered.
A private transfer can take you straight to your hotel, where you can settle in, take a deep breath, and start soaking in that Athenian energy. Tomorrow, the adventure begins!
Day 1: Ruins, Legends & Late-Night Gelato
Nothing kicks off a day like a solid breakfast, and we’ve got that covered.
Enjoy your morning at your own pace. Sleep in, wander around the city, or grab a Greek coffee and feel like a local.
In the afternoon, we step back in time with a visit to the Areopagus and the legendary Acropolis.
Marvel at the Parthenon, feel the history under your feet, and snap that “just casually time-traveling” photo for Instagram.
As the sun sets, we gather for a delicious welcome dinner in the heart of Athens. But wait, no Athenian evening is complete without gelato and a leisurely stroll back to the hotel. Because, priorities.
Day 2: Ancient Marketplaces & Hidden Byzantine Gems
After breakfast, we hit the Athenian Agora, the ancient equivalent of a city center, where Socrates probably got into some heated debates.
We’ll also visit two stunning Byzantine churches, perfect for a quiet moment of awe (or a killer photo op).
Then, it’s free time in Plaka! This is your chance to shop, people-watch, or discover your new favorite taverna for lunch.
In the afternoon, we head to the Acropolis Museum to explore the Parthenon galleries, because seeing the ruins is one thing, but learning their secrets? That’s next level.
Afterward, dinner is up to you! Go explore, indulge, and enjoy Athens your way.
Day 3: Saints, Icons & Dinner with a View
We start the day with a deep dive into Byzantine art at the Byzantine & Christian Museum, where history meets breathtaking craftsmanship. It’s a feast for the eyes and the soul.
The afternoon is yours, but if you’re hungry, the museum’s café is an underrated gem (seriously, it’s a vibe). In the evening, we take a scenic walk to a rooftop restaurant for dinner with a perfect Acropolis view.
The food? Fantastic. The ambiance? Magical. The regret? Non-existent.
Day 4: Monasteries, Wineries & Coastal Bliss
Bye-bye, Athens!
We’re off to Nafplion, but first, a visit to the Holy Monastery of Daphni—where Byzantine beauty and peace collide.
From there, it’s time to reward ourselves with a wine tasting and light lunch at a charming little winery. Sip, swirl, and let the Greek grapes do their thing.
Once in Nafplion, we settle in and then meet up for a seafood dinner by the sea. Fresh catch, salty breeze and pure Greek coastal magic.
Day 5: Wine, Warriors & Free Time to Roam
Morning starts with a lazy breakfast and a free morning, because balance is key.
In the afternoon, we get back to the good stuff with a world-class wine tasting and lunch.
Then, we visit the Church of the Dormition of the Theotokos of Moerbeke before stepping into the legendary world of Mycenae, where kings, warriors, and epic legends were born.
Dinner is wherever your heart (and stomach) take you tonight!
Day 6: Corinthian Wonders & Legendary Wines
Time to walk in the footsteps of ancient philosophers and traders with a guided tour of Ancient Corinth. After all, this was once the Vegas of antiquity.
We follow it up with a visit to a legendary 19th-century winery, where history and wine blend perfectly. Sip, learn, and let the scenery do the rest.
Dinner is on your own—go explore Nafplio’s hidden gems!
Day 7: The Ultimate Greek Feast (Bring Your Appetite!)
A relaxed morning gives way to a grand lunch at a legendary meathouse. Expect plates upon plates of slow-cooked perfection, laughter, and maybe a food coma or two.
The afternoon is free—take a nap, walk it off, or just bask in the glory of Greek hospitality.
Dinner is on your own (if you even have room for it!).
Day 8: Ancient Nemea, Wine & A Rustic Taverna Dinner
We start with a visit to the archaeological site of Ancient Nemea, followed by a lazy morning to soak up the beauty of Nafplion.
Then? More wine! Another intimate winery welcomes us for a tasting and lunch.
In the evening, we take a short trip to Argos for dinner at a beloved local taverna, where the flavors are rich and the atmosphere is even richer.
Day 9: Ruins, Road Trips & The Healing Theater of Epidaurus
After breakfast, we set off for a tour of the eastern Argolid, stopping for a light lunch in the charming village of Ligourio.
Then, it’s on to Ancient Epidaurus, home to one of the best-preserved theaters in the world.
Stand in the middle and whisper—you’ll be amazed at the acoustics.
Dinner is on your own tonight, choose wisely!
Day 10: Epic Views, Final Feasts & A Thousand Steps to Glory
A free morning, or for the daring, an optional hike up the Fortress of Palamidi.
Warning: 1,000+ steps and serious elevation changes. But the views? Absolutely worth it.
After a well-earned rest, we meet for our gastronomic finale—a feast worthy of the gods, filled with laughter, clinking glasses, and memories to last a lifetime.
Day 11: Until We Meet Again...
We return to Athens for our departures, but let’s be real—Greece has a way of calling you back.
This isn’t goodbye. It’s just “see you next time.”
