Olive picking and visit to charcutterie for lunch
Discover the landscape and cuisine of Crete on a special 1 day excursion to Cretan mainland at the small villages of Drapeti and Galatas.
We will be transferred to a picturesque olive grove adorned with trees that have often stood for hundreds of years.
Neatly spread nets await beneath the trees, signaling the commencement of the traditional picking process using a tool known as an olive harvester.
A short presentation of olive products will follow. Join us to experience a typical morning in the life of a Cretan!
We will get on our van and then we will be transferred to Galatas for an immersive olive oil, wine, cheese & cured meats tasting: the ultimate Cretan symposium!
We will enjoy a full menu featuring traditional dishes prepared in a wood-fired oven and fireside, using fresh vegetables and seasonal products.
